Hyra offers a variety of moderation tools to help you manage and clean up your feedback boards easily.
Internal Notes
Internal notes allow your development team to privately discuss the post away from public view.
To create an internal note, simply click the N key in your keyboard or select 'Note' in the dropdown.
⚠️ You'll need the Internal Notes permission to post view and post notes in the post.
Update Categories
Another tool to help you re-categorize posts is by the Category dropdown. If you believe that a post is unrelated to a category, feel free to place it in the right category by clicking the dropdown and selecting a new category.
Changes are saved automatically and need to click 'Save'.
⚠️ You'll need the Recategorize Items permission to change the category of a post.
Change Post Status
Changing the status of a feedback post is a great way to keep the author and its upvoters informed on the progress of a suggestion.
To change a post status, simply click the dropdown to expand it's options after selecting one, an option to create a note appears.
This optional note will appear publicly as a comment on the thread. Additionally, enabling the "Notify voters and author by email" option will send an automated email update directly to the author and everyone who upvoted the post.
⚠️ You'll need the Change Status permission to change a post status.
Merge Duplicate Posts
To clean up your board with duplicate suggestions, you can merge them into one.
To merge duplicate posts, click the 'Merge Duplicate' text under the Category dropdown and search for the post to keep. Once selected, the post you are in will be merged to the post you've selected.
Once the merge is complete, it's votes will be transferred to the original post and the merged post will be hidden.
⚠️ You'll need the Merge Items permission in order to merge duplicate posts.
Add Votes on Behalf of Someone
Feedback admins can also add votes on behalf of someone by clicking the '+ Add Voter' text below the username of the voters and type in their username.
⚠️ You'll need the Add Voters permission to add votes on a post on behalf of someone.
Delete Post
To make your board cleaner with spam posts, you can delete them by simply clicking the 'Delete as staff' text below the username of those who submitted the post.
⚠️ You'll need the Delete Any Item permission to delete feedback posts.
